The new Acer Aspire Switch 12 is a notebook that offers 5 modes, a 12.5-inch display and the newest Intel Core M processor.
Equipped with a kickstand that features a magnetic and latch-less detachable keyboard, the centerpiece of the Aspire Switch 12 is its ability to easily transition between 5 distinct modes (notebook, pad, display, tent and desktop). It can also be optimized for sharing information and viewing multimedia (display and tent modes) in conjunction with its dual front-facing speakers.
The Aspire Switch 12's detachable keyboard can work connected or wirelessly and provides full-sized typing along with a pointing stick for navigation. Users can also take advantage of 10-point touch controls on the notebook's screen and use an optional Acer Active Pen.
The device features a 12.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) display with IPS technology and Zero Air Gap direct bonding technology, built with next generation of Corning Gorilla Glass and treated with an anti-fingerprint coating.
The new Intel Core M processor delivers reduction in power consumption, allowing the notebook to run up to 8 hours during video playback. What?s more, it also sports a fan-less design that makes it whisper quite.
To top off its high processing power and graphics, the Aspire Switch 12 comes with two antennas; 2x2 wireless antenna technology processes data at up to twice the speed of traditional single antenna solutions by forming a multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) setup for fast and reliable throughput.
