The Light Mount is a full-size keyboard and its dimensions are 132 x 461 x 44mm (without palm rest), while its weight is almost 1.19kg.

The Light Mount has a pure black color, with black brushed aluminum as the building material. You can expect a finger magnet if your hands are oily, but we don't find this a problem after all. The product has a total of 3 sound-absorbing foam layers to give you the lowest possible noise. One layer of foam is between the switches and the PCB, another is under the PCB and a third fills the bottom housing. Any potential echoing noises are immediately muted. PBT double-shot injection keycaps are the choice of champions due to their resistance to wear and tear.

As with the Dark Mount, users can select between two types of mechanical switches that can be used. The silent linear orange switches are pre-lubricated to reduce friction and noise and 45g actuation force. The building material is PA66 nylon housing for a muted sound profile and a POM stem for smooth actuations. The stabilizers that sit under every large key like Space and Enter are lubricated and also cushion the contact point between the stabilizer and PCB for extra sound-dampening. All switches are hot-swappable with other 5-pin MX-style switches. The be quiet! Black Tactile Switches come with 55g actuation force and deliver the same speed and accuracy but with a distinct, noticeable tactile actuation point.

Looking at the keyboard, you will find a typical ANSI layout, all keycaps are black, while all letters have transparent material to glow in the dark making it easy to use. be quiet! offers 4 key layouts: US-International (ANSI), UK-English (ISO), FR-French (ISO), and DE-German (ISO). The unique feature of the Light Mount is the programmable aluminum 3D Media Wheel, which controls the volume (left/right knob), and you can press it to mute and unmute sounds. Below the rotating knob, there are a total of 5 mechanical macro keys that can be programmed under the be quiet! IO Center to almost all possible actions you can imagine. Since we are used to typing at the usual layout, the 5 macro keys do interfere and we didn't like their placement, even though other users may have different opinions.

The Light Mount includes a numpad and three led next to the arrow keys for num lock, caps lock, and scroll lock.

At the bottom area, users will find three anti-slip pads, while keyboard height is adjusted with the included plastic feet up to 3 different angles of 3°, 6°, or 9°. The bottom building material is ABS, and there is no special care for USB or cable routes. Moreover, the magnetic cushioned palm rest snaps onto the keyboard for a more natural hand position.

At the back users will find the USB Type C v2.0 port for connect the keyboard to the PC host with 1000hz polling rate.

The be quiet! Light Mount has plenty (per-key) ARGB lighting. Moreover, there is a lightbar at the top of the keyboard to create atmospheric ARGB LED lighting on your desk. Of course, via the included software, you can sync with other RGB you might have in your system.
