CES: LG Display's 65-inch OLED TV Can Roll Up Like a Newspaper
LG Display will show off at CES another world's first: a 65-inch 4K OLED display that's flaxible and completely rollable.
It is not the first time we see a flexible display by the South Koren company, but this is the first one that's flexible enough to spin up into tube form. When not in use, the massive, paper-thin OLED is descending into a little box the size of a soundbar.
The 65-inch 4K OLED is also supporting LG's Crystal Sound tech, which embeds speakers directly into the screen. The latest version of this technology upgrades over the original's 2.1 channel audio to 3.1.
The company doesn't yet says when this new TV concept will hit the market, how much it might cost or even how it manages to remain flat and watchable after being unrolled.
