CyberLink Launches PowerProducer 3

CyberLink Launches PowerProducer 3

Optical Storage Oct 8,2004 0

CyberLink announced today the release of PowerProducer 3, a new version featuring stylish DVD menus, intelligent video and burning technologies and enhanced authoring tools, making DVD authoring quick and easy. New features in this version includes:

-- SmartFit Technology to provide optimal setting for video quality based on available disc space and video length.

-- 2nd Generation SVRT (Smart Video Rendering Technology) to support Dolby Digital

-- Enhanced animated DVD menu templates supporting Alpha Blending effect

-- Supports 16x DVD burning and double layer discs

-- Includes PowerDirector Express for advanced video editing functions

-- Includes PhotoNow!, the one-click photo retouching software

CyberLink PowerProducer 3 features alpha blending DVD templates, a technique to overlay two videos with the top video being completely or partially translucent so that the second layer is visible. PowerProducer 3 takes full advantage of this technique to design the menu background, thumbnail and the video frame creating a stylish DVD menu effect.

Furthermore, CyberLink PowerProducer features the latest video technologies: Smart Fit and MPEG@Best - to offer an automated approach for calculating video compression quality and optimizing CPU performance during real-time capturing. These features totally eliminate the need for manual adjustments to speed up the authoring and burning process. CyberLink has also improved its Smart Video Rendering Technology (SVRT) with Dolby Digital audio coding support.

"Consumers today are taking more photos and videos from their digital cameras and camcorders comparing to the analog devices," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "And PowerProducer offers an intelligent way to create dazzling home videos and slideshows on DVDs and CDs in no time."

For the advanced users, PowerProducer 3 has integrated two applications -PowerDirector Express, complete tools to edit videos and PhotoNow!, the one-click photo retouching tool that can automatically remove red-eyes and fix the image quality.
