E-TEN Glofiish owners get free Windows Mobile 6 upgrades

Smartphones May 15,2007 0

E-TEN Information Systems has released Windows Mobile? 6 ROM updates for owners of its own-brand Glofiish X500 and M700 Pocket PC Phones. E-TEN, on May 14, announced the delivery of three language-localized ROM updates that allow owners of Glofiish X500 and M700 Pocket PC Phones to upgrade their devices to Windows Mobile? 6. The updates are available for owners of English, Russian, and French devices. Further languages will be available for M700 devices at a later date.

Owners wishing to upgrade their Glofiish Pocket PC Phone to Windows Mobile? 6 should visit www.glofiish.com. There they will find instructions on how to register for the free download. Owners will need to supply their device's IMEI number (located beneath the battery) and a valid email address to complete the process.

This optional upgrade is offered as a value-added service for Glofiish customers wanting to enjoy the latest mobile platform, E-TEN noted. Customers who do not wish to upgrade may continue to use the default software platform of their device.

E-TEN highlighted that the benefits of Windows Mobile? 6 include a new user-interface, optimizations to make better use of hardware resources, and updated software, including new versions of the Mobile Office suite.
