Elpida Memory joins PSC board of directors
Japanese Elpida Memory today announced that it has joined the board of directors for Powerchip Semiconductor
Corporation (PSC) and has appointed Shinji Shimizu to serve as its representative.
The two companies already have an agreement in place in which Elpida provides technology transfer to PSC and PSC
provides foundry services to Elpida for DRAM products. Also in March 2005, Elpida completed the purchase of 24.5
million shares of PSC stock (equal to approximately 0.6% of PSC's total stock). Elpida's appointment to the PSC
board of directors further enhances and leverages the mutual partnership and strong business relationship between
Elpida and PSC.
