4. WiFi 7 network cards

Since we wanted to test the WiFi 7 performance of the three EnGenius WiFi 7-enabled routers, we also needed Wi-Fi 7-enabled Wi-Fi cards for our test system. Most newer Intel/AMD motherboards do include on-board, such devices for our tests we bought two WiFi 7 cards, one based on the Qualcomm chipset and one with RealTek. Intel also provides WiFi 7 PCIe cards, however, we used a Dell Intel-based laptop to perform tests, since AMD systems are not compatible with the Intel BE200 PCIe-based cards.
The first PCIe card comes from MSI with the codename HERALD-BE NCM865 WI-FI 7 and it's based upon Qualcomm NCM865 chipset.
The second PCIe card comes HCX with the codename GOEPMT7927 rev 1.1 and its based upon the MediaTek MT7927 chipset.
All Settings under Devices are left at default/auto.

There is also an Intel BE200 PCIe OEM card that users can buy and we did as well,
