Fujitsu Releases New Enterprise PC and Tablet Models
Fujitsu is releasing 16 new enterprise Windows models in eleven product series, including five desktop PC models in three series, four laptop models in two series, one tablet series, and three workstation models in three series. The new models will be rlolling in Japan starting from the end of this month.
To meet virtualization needs, Fujitsu has expanded the product range of its FUJITSU Thin Client FUTRO, combining its virtualization solutions to provide a secure working environment in a variety of businesses. Furthermore, compared with previous models, performance has been strengthened in models equipped with the latest CPUs that support Windows 10, among other enhancements.
In order to meet the large demand for models running Windows 7 in the enterprise market, in addition to models running Windows 10, Fujitsu has added models running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to its lineup.
In expanding its product range, Fujitsu has equipped seven models across five series(LIFEBOOK T936/N, LIFEBOOK T726/N, LIFEBOOK A746/N, LIFEBOOK A576/N, ARROWS Tab Q616/N, CELSIUS R940, CELSIUS H760) with the latest CPUs and newest OS. Moreover, the LIFEBOOK series has been equipped with the latest DDR4 memory.
Fujitsu is now offering a new desktop thin client, the FUTRO S720/N; a 13.3" laptop thin client, the FUTRO MS936; and a 15.6" A4-sized laptop thin client, the FUTRO MA576. Using these PCs with Fujitsu's virtualization solutions, suited for a variety of purposes and tasks.
Microsoft is ending OS support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on models using 6th generation Intel Core processors on July 17, 2018, but there are still many businesses using computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Therefore, Fujitsu is expanding its range of models using 4th and 5th generation CPUs (ESPRIMO Q520/K, ESPRIMO D753/N, ESPRIMO D583/N, ESPRIMO D552/N, ESPRIMO K555/N, CELSIUS J530 ). Microsoft will support Windows 7 until January 14, 2020 and Windows 8.1 until January 10, 2023.
