Greenliant 1TB M2230 ArmourDrive NVME
3. Conclusion
The product performance was very good in most tests, reading tops around 3.6GB/sec, while writing is around 2.5GB/sec. Random file writing is average and in the case of writing, single big files up to 60GB in size would be OK, after that point the drive will drop writing speed, due to its DRAM-less design. The working temperatures are high enough so you have to use some kind of passive cooling (heatsink), even the drive includes thermal protection to protect itself. As for compatibility, you can use it on all M2230-enabled devices, like Valve Steam Deck. The competition offers not retail drives, but only OEM (Samsung PM991 1TB at 170 Euro / Western Digital WD SN740 at 160 Euro) mostly from the Asia market with questionable warranty. Greenliant offers the 1TB M2 ArmourDrive for a retail price of $169 with one year of warranty at respectable stores and with real support/warranty.
A great product from Greenliant in a market where not many players are present, like the M2230 format.
