HP Unveils New Chromebooks at BETT 2020

HP Unveils New Chromebooks at BETT 2020

PC components Jan 22,2020 0

At BETT 2020, HP Inc. announced new Chromebooks for students and teachers that are built to stand up to tough handling.

The HP Chromebook 11 G8 Education Edition (EE), HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE, HP Chromebook 11 x360 G3 EE and HP Chromebook 14 G6 are simple, secure and shareable devices.

The HP Chromebook 11 G8 EE and the HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE are thin, 11” rugged Chromebooks. Powered by Intel or AMD processors, HP’s new Education Edition Chromebooks are running on the fast-booting Chrome OS. Both devices undergo a 76 cm drop test on concrete and 122 cm on wood, HP’s Total Test Process and MIL-STD 810G testing. The keyboards can resist spills of up to 350 ml (12 oz) of water,12 and can be repeatedly wiped with common household cleaning wipes for easy cleaning. Students can show and share Android and G Suite apps on an optional HD IPS anti-glare touchscreen. Lastly, students can collaborate remotely in real-time with a webcam and HP Extended Range Wireless LAN.

The HP Chromebook x360 11 G3 EE is powered by Intel processors and designed to adapt to any environment – from the classroom to the lab. With a 360° hinge, optional active HP Wacom EMR pen and dual cameras, students can type, touch, capture, write and draw in four user modes – stand, tent, tablet and notebook.

The HP Chromebook 14 G6 allows users to seize the day with the manageable running on Intel processors. Users can expand their workspace with future-ready USB-C and HDMI, get more done with a long-running battery, and prevent remote camera hacking with the optional HP Privacy Camera. It has a 14” diagonal screen, and up to 8 GB memory and 128 GB storage. Students can collaborate in the classroom with an optional narrow bezel, wide viewing angle IPS screen, wide-angle HD webcam and dual mics. Students can also connect in dense areas with WLAN 802.11 ac,22 MU-MIMO and HP Extended Range Wireless LAN. IT can easily deploy, manage and control users, devices and apps on 10s, 100s, and even 1000s of HP Chromebooks with Google’s optional Chrome Enterprise Upgrade.

Availability

  • The HP Chromebook 11 G8 EE is available now starting at $259.
  • The HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE is expected to be available in February. Pricing will be shared closer to availability.
