KIOXIA expands EXCERIA line with new EXCERIA G3 SSD series

KIOXIA expands EXCERIA line with new EXCERIA G3 SSD series

Enterprise & IT Dec 15,2025 0

KIOXIA Europe GmbH announced the upcoming launch of the EXCERIA G3 SSD Series, a new value-driven addition to its Personal SSD portfolio that makes the cutting-edge speed of PCIe 5.0 accessible to a broader audience.

Utilizing KIOXIA's latest BiCS FLASH™ generation 8 QLC flash memory, the EXCERIA G3 Series is engineered to deliver a significant generational leap in performance. With impressive sequential read speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s[1] and write speeds of up to 9,600 MB/s[1], users can experience drastically reduced load times, near-instantaneous file transfers, and enhanced responsiveness for demanding applications and content creation.

Available in capacities up to 2TB[2] in the M.2 2280 form factor, the EXCERIA G3 SSDs represent the new sweet spot for PC builders and upgraders seeking modern performance without a premium price tag. By combining the advanced PCIe 5.0 (Gen5x4) interface with the cost-efficiency of BiCS FLASH™ generation 8 QLC NAND, KIOXIA delivers exceptional value and a future-proof storage solution.

"The EXCERIA G3 is a testament to our commitment to innovation and accessibility," said Paul Rowan, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at KIOXIA Europe. "We are leveraging our leadership in flash memory technology to break down the cost barrier to PCIe 5.0. The EXCERIA G3 provides mainstream users with a compelling, high-speed upgrade path from older SATA, PCIe 3.0, or even entry-level PCIe 4.0 drives."

The new EXCERIA G3 SSD Series joins KIOXIA's comprehensive consumer line-up, sitting strategically between the entry-level EXCERIA BASIC (PCIe 4.0) and the higher-performance EXCERIA PLUS G4 (PCIe 5.0) series. It is the ideal choice for users who want to harness the bandwidth of the latest PCIe 5.0 platform for gaming, productivity, and creative workflows, while maintaining a strict budget.

The next generation of KIOXIA BiCS FLASH™ generation 8 QLC 3D flash memory, features architectural innovation that meets the needs of data-centric applications like advanced smartphones, PCs, SSDs and data centers. When performance, high density and cost-effectiveness matter, KIOXIA BICS FLASH™ 3D flash memory delivers.

The EXCERIA G3 SSD Series is scheduled to be available in Q4/2025.

Notes
[1] Read and write speed may vary depending on various factors such as host devices, software (drivers, OS etc.), and read/write conditions.
[2] Definition of capacity: KIOXIA defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1GB = 230 = 1,073,741,824 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, such as Microsoft Operating System and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.

The line-up of personal products varies by country and region. Product images may differ from actual product. The following trademarks, service and/or company names – NVMe, NVM Express, Inc., PCIe, PCI-SIG – are not applied, registered, created and/or owned by KIOXIA Europe GmbH or by affiliated KIOXIA group companies. However, they may be applied, registered, created and/or owned by third parties in various jurisdictions and, therefore, protected against unauthorized use. All other company names, product names and service names may be trademarks of third-party companies.
