LG Display has developed the first LCD panel for monitors featuring Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. This new 23.8-inch LCD panel allows users to stream wirelessly their laptop and desktop content to their TVs and monitors without the use of additional devices. The panel provides Intel WiDi wireless connectivity by implementing a chipset directly into the LCD module.

The 23.8-inch Intel WiDi solution-enabled LCD panel will debut at the 2013 Intel Developer Forum (IDF13 San Francisco) taking place September 10-12 in San Francisco.

More consumers will be able to experience LG's technology with the rollout of LG OLED TV in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the CIS region later this year. In order to quickly expand the OLED TV market, LG plans to sell its TVs not only in department stores and luxury retailers but also large consumer electronics chains with national networks.

The company will also complementits 55-inch CURVED OLED TV with the wall mountable GALLERY OLED TV. Furthermore, LG is developing OLED TVs with ULTRA HD picture quality in screen sizes greater than 70 inches.

LG's 55- and 65-inch ULTRA HD TV series are scheduled to launch in 50 countries before the end of 2014. These models feature HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) decoders, so no external decoding deviceis required.

LG will also expand the compatibility with web-based applications and by strengthening LG's involvement in the Smart TV Alliance.
