Designed for the enterprise environment, Mushkin's ProSpec SSDs deliver random read/write performance of 80K/42K IOPS and a sustained transfer rate of 560MB/s, and are available in useable capacities ranging from 100GB to 400GB. Mushkin's enterprise class drives come equipped with commercial MLC Flash to achieve 10x the write endurance levels while also delivering no performance degradation over the life of the drive. Equipped with Mushkin's Power Safe Technology, ProSpec SSDs also provide enhanced power-loss data protection through hardware and firmware-based features.
Mushkin also begins shipping its new line of 1.8-inch Chronos SATA III (6Gbps) solid-state drives, in 40GB, 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities.
The new line of SSDs feature a smaller, lighter footprint than the previous generation, and offer performance and reliability improvements for power users. Originally designed as an enterprise-class drive, the new Chronos SSD has been adapted and re-engineered to deliver high-performance and reliability.
The worldwide launch of the Mushkin new 960GB Chronos SSD is also slated to start shipping this month. The newest addition to the Chronos line of SSDs offers 960GB of space, almost double the storage capacity of typical 2.5-inch form factor drives. The drive has been designed for disk intensive applications like workstations and servers.
Mushkin also seems to pursue true SSD-class performance with their upcoming Ventura Ultra USB stick that features a SF-2281 controller. The drive is capable of read/write speeds over 300MB/s (380/325MB/s), and Mushkin mentoned IOPS of around 15K if memory serves.
The Ventura Ultra will be available in capacities of 60/120/240GB, though pricing and launch dates are not yet known.
Last but not least, Mushkin's new line of memory modules, code named Stealth, are scheduled for worldwide release mid-February.
The memory features Mushkin's Stiletto heat spreader in an all-black limited edition design. This memory will start shipping in 8GB and 16GB capacities with speeds of up to 2666MHz. The all-new Stealth is designed to work with third-generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and the latest AMD performance and gaming processors.
