New 10.8-inch iPad and 9-inch iPad Mini Coming Soon Analyst Says
Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo updated his report today with information on Apple's new iPad and AR glasses.
Kuo said Apple is developing two new iPad models, the 10.8-inch iPad and the 8.5 to 9-inch iPad mini, which are expected to be launched in the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021, respectively.
These products are positioned similarly to the iPhone SE, with the selling point being a more powerful chip and a cheaper selling price.
Apple's existing low-priced iPad is a 10.2-inch version, while the existing iPad mini has a 7.9-inch screen size.
There have been rumors about Apple Glasses for a long time, and Kuo predicts that Apple will release Apple eyewear as soon as 2022. GIS will be the exclusive or major lens lamination provider.
Previously, DigiTimes and The Information both predicted that Apple would release AR eyewear products in 2022.
Apple Glass will feature a new operating system, rumored to be rOS, with controls such as touchpad, voice and head movements.
