General Interest Jan 2,2004 0

With the DV-W58GK (8x DVD+R, 4x DVD-R, 2x DVD-RW, 4x DVD+RW, 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW), TEAC presents the latest DVD+/-RW solution with 8x writing speed. DVD+Rs with 4.7 GByte capacity can consequently be produced in absolutely no time. With 8x recording speed in DVD+R format, the latest TEAC DVD burner is twice as fast as its predecessor. The DV-W58G supports DVD+-R/RW and therefore provides the user the highest format safety possible. In addition to the time-saving 8x writing speed in the DVD+R mode, the drive burns DVD+RW and DVD-R formats at 4x, DVD-RW at 2x speed. 24x is possible in the CD-RW format; in the CD-R format, an ncredible 40x burning performance is possible.

The drive is equipped with an ATAPI interface and is delivered with a comprehensive software packet, which opens up numerous functionalities for the user. Installed with the latest version 6 from Nero, which includes diverse options for creating CDs and DVDs, the DV-W58G is the ideal choice for all music enthusiasts and hobby/video film-makers.

The film editing functions, the DVD compression and the options for creating audio CDs make Nero 6 a truly high-performance multimedia burning software. A highly efficient backup system is provided for securing data.

Furthermore, Nero 6 is also equipped with a completely new user interface, which simplifies CD and DVD processing, even for beginners. The main highlight of this new software from Nero is the VisionExpress tool. This feature allows videos to be directly recorded in DVD format; photo shows can be created with cross fade effects or sound-tracked with music.

Easy to install, the new dual drive from TEAC proves its quality performance through its rapid processing speed and numerous burning functions, which address practically every wish you could possibly have. The DV-W58G is available including kit for EUR 169.
