A new multi functional M.2 enclosure by Akasa: one size fits all!

PC components Oct 20,2020 0

Akasa is a leading provider of SSD accessories and has released a new, sleek aluminium enclosure for M.2 drives which allows for compatibility with both SATA and NVMe drives. Meaning there no longer is a need to purchase two separate enclosures
to fit either SATA or NVMe M.2 drive you just need one SSD enclosure that caters for either drives.

The enclosure features USB 3.1 Generation 2 connectivity, and supports UASP, meaning you’ll be making the most out of the super fast data transfer speeds from your M.2 drive of up to 10 Gb/s. Pop the drive straight into the enclosure’s innovative tool free board and y ou’re set! No additional cables are needed either. Easy user interface is further provided by the built in USB Type A and Type C connect ions on either end of the enclosure, ensuring the new enclosure for M.2 drives to be Akasa s most convenient enclosure yet.

The premium aluminium finish is classy, yet subtle and weighs just 40g with an SSD installed; the case is small and durable enough to keep up with your everyday needs. Chuck it in your pocket and bring all your essential files with you!

The enclosure is compatible with almost everything you can throw at it including all generations of USB and NVMe, as well as the most common M.2 drive lengths (42mm, 60mm and 80mm). Spend less time waiting and more time on the grind as the enclosure will allow most M.2 SSDs to take advantage of up to 10 Gb/s speeds these are fast enough for transferring large files such as
full 4K movies, Adobe Premier files or triple A games within a few minutes. Perfect for a range of professions and applications such as videographers, ga mers on the go, or as a cost effective fast access back up storage.
