Pebble, the company that started out as little more than a Kickstarter campaign, has sold 1 million smartwatches so far, and is set to release a new version of the device this year.
Speaking to The Verge, CEO Eric Migicovsky revealed that over the past 12 months the company almost doubled its sales, despite competition from Google's Android Wear and of course Samsung's evergrowing range of Gear smartwathes.
He added that the company prepares for what has been dubbed the year of the Apple Watch it has indicated that it is going to come out fighting. It has new features of both software and hardware and it will be coming later in 2015.
