The latest DVD burner of the Dutch company is tested on CDRInfo's regular test bed. The Philips DVDR1648P is based on the Philips Nexperia PNX7860E chipset and supports the 8X DVD+R DL, 4x DVD-R DL and the 16x DVD+R/-R recording speeds. One of the highlights of the new drive is introduction of the SolidBurn technology.
