Philips Showcases Enviromental Friendly Products at IFA 2010
Philips is unveiling a range of advanced consumer products
that help people enjoy a healthier and better life in a simple
way, this year at the Internationale Funk Ausstellung (IFA),
taking place in Berlin from September 2-8.
From televisions to irons, and vacuum cleaners to home cinema sound systems, Philips is cutting energy consumption and increasing recyclability - both by using more recycled materials in new products.
Designed to make it easy for consumers to reduce their impact on the environment every day, Philips is introducing Econova LED TV (42PFL6805), Europe's greenest LED TV, with a solar remote control. Awarded European Green TV 2010-2011 by the European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA), Econova LED TV addresses concerns about the environment without compromising on performance, according to Philips. The LED TV uses the latest LED lighting technology reducing energy consumption by up to 60% - the lowest in its category. Its Zero power switch means that when you switch your TV off, power consumption is reduced to 0 watt. Econova LED TV is made from materials that are easy to recycle and have been used before.
Its solar powered remote control reduces the impact on the environment even further, recharging from a freely available source of energy, natural daylight, meaning batteries do not need to be replaced or disposed of.
Reducing material waste even further, Econova LED TV comes with the unique Philips 2-in-1 stand which can be used as a table top stand as well as an easy to install wallmount bracket.
The Econova also features a Philips 100Hz clear LCD and the 'Pixel Precise HD'technology, which offers 4 trillion colours with HD Natural Motion making. Econova LED TV also uses integrated Clear Sound technology, an sound system with two front firing speakers and two rear firing woofers so you can hear every word. 20W RMS and Incredible Surround add an improved total surround sound experience with greater depth and width throughout the room.
Philips Econova LED TV is available in a 42 inch screen size and available in Europe from September.
