Portable CD-RW supports both IEEE 1394 (FireWire) and USB connections

The RATOC Systems corporation sells the "RCD-PN0804P" CDR-W drive, which supports both IEEE 1394/USB connections from first of March. The price of the drive is around 57,000 Yen (493$) and supports Win9x, Win2k and Mac OS 9.0.4/9.1.

The portable CDR-W drive supports 8x writing, 4x re-write and 24x reading (when using the FireWire connection) and is based upon Panasonic mechanism. The Buffer of the drive is 2MB and has 150ms seek time. If you decide to use the USB connection then the drive features limit to 4x/4x/6x (due to the USB Connection). The attached software is Bs Recorder GOLD & the CLIP. Last the drive's weight is only 460gr!.." NULL
