Samsung to Showcase 110-inch UHD TV at 2013 CES
Samsung Electronics is expectd to showcase a 110-inch UHD (ultra high definition) screen TV at the US Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in early January of 2013.
The information was reported by the Maeil Business Newspaper in Korea on Sunday. According to the paper, a Samsung official said that the huge UHD TV "would boast the best-ever definition and design that you haven't experienced before."
Samsung has already commercialized a 75-inch full HD TV last year. Last month, the company also revealed that its 85-inch UHD TV received a CES 2013 Innovation Award.
The 110-inch panel has been manufactured through the eighth generation LCD production line technology.
We'll have to wait for LG Electronic's response to Samsung at CES. This year, both Korean panel makers are expected to focus on UHD LCD TV models, and also showcase OLED TVs that will be commercialized in 2014.
