Enterprise & IT Oct 18,2004 0

Sharp will begin marketing November 10 the latest model in the Personal Mobile Tool Zaurus series of PDAs. The SL-C3000 PDA is the first in the industry to feature a built-in 4GB hard drive to enable users to carry large-volume data such as business documents, photo images, music and video. It can also be doubled as an external hard drive when linked to a PC via a bundled USB cable.

Powered by Intel's 416MHz PXA270 XScale processor, the PDA supports a wide variety of Internet connectivity capabilities, such as PHS and wireless LAN communications. The new PDA runs Lineo uLinux, a Linux OS, and comes equipped with a 3.7-inch backlit LCD, an SD Card slot and a Compact Flash Card slot.

The product measures 124x87x25mm, weighs 298g, and is open-priced. Sharp will produce 15,000 units per month.
