After disconnection, it will enter low power mode after 10 minutes and shut down after 2 hours. The PeatsAudio app is simple to use, and we hope that the app will offer in the future the % battery left for the earbuds and the charging case. By default, the Sound is clear and can be adjusted via the included app; there are several pre-built equalizer curves, while you can set your own as well. The Dolby Audio function does add to the overall experience, even though we prefer to leave the Dolby process to the smartphone, not the earbud. There were no connectivity issues with the Samsung S24 Ultra Android phone and a smart TV. In fact, we found the dual connection feature very handy. The LDAC function requires special audio files to work and won't be useful for everyday use. There is no serious active ANC that will help you pass environmental sound through when listening to music or watching a movie.

The battery, according to the specs for 60% Volume (BT AAC connection & all other features turned off), is around 8Hrs Playtime + 40 hours with the Charging Case, so if you raise sound levels to 80% that is a nice level, you will get around 4-5 hours of playback, which is ΟΚ. A quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of playtime. The power delivered by the charger must be between min [2] Watts required by the radio equipment, and max [5] Watts to achieve the maximum charging speed. If you use high-speed wall chargers with many ports, use the low-power ports. Also, the product doesn't support Qi wireless charging, which should be a nice bonus.

Passing to the sound quality, the product houses two 12mm dual magnet drivers for both earbuds with a frequency response of 20Hz-40KHz. Users should expect nice mids, clear trebles, and middle bass. Using the PeatsAudio app may improve overall bass, but there are physical restrictions, as you understand. The product supports Adaptive Left/Right Channels: Place the earbuds in the charging case without distinguishing between left and right. Close the lid for 10 seconds, and upon reopening, the earbuds automatically adjust the channels.

The included Single-mic ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls did its work; even higher-priced products have more mics to remove the ambient sound. The touch controls need some time to get familiar with. You can disable them with the app or change them according to your needs, which is nice.

Overall, we feel that the Clip1 is a nice upgrade to the already tested Pop Clip, which has a similar design and specs. However, the Clip1 seems more advanced, for users who will appreciate the bigger drivers and overall features (Dolby Audio, LDAC Hi-Res). The PeatsAudio app will help you further improve the overall experience, and we really are using this product every day for our gym sessions, since you cannot miss these earbuds in any case.
