SSSTC Launches the World's First Industrial-grade SSD Features KIOXIA's Sixth Generation BiCS FLASH

Enterprise & IT Sep 5,2023 0

As digital transformation becomes imperative, with the continual evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and rapid advancements in cloud computing, enterprises' demand for data computation and storage is escalating. To meet this growing demand, SSSTC (a subsidiary of Kioxia) has launched the CL6 series of industrial-grade SSDs, the world's first to be equipped with KIOXIA's sixth-generation BiCS FLASH™ 3D flash memory.

The CL6 series SSD utilizes the PCIe® 4.0 x4 interface and adheres to the NVMe™ 1.4c standard. It supports fully matured Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology, surpassing the performance limits of DRAM-less SSDs, offering a more efficient and reliable storage experience. With SLC caching, the sequential read speed can reach up to 6,000 MB/s, and sequential write speed is up to 5,300 MB/s. The CL6 series is available in mainstream M.2 2280 format, as well as M.2 2242 and M.2 2230, with a maximum capacity of up to 2TB to meet the storage needs of different applications.

The CL6 industrial-grade SSD has undergone rigorous burn-in and aging tests, ensuring seamless operation in extreme industrial control environments. It is ideal for applications such as slim PCs, embedded POS systems, network switches, signal base stations, terminal sensors, and other industrial computers, where consistent performance and extended operation are critical.

The CL6 series offers energy saving and low power consumption even at speed, which brings smaller, lighter, faster, and more energy-efficient storage solution for mobile computing and embedded IoT devices. In addition, the drive supports TCG OPAL and XTS-AES 256-bit encryption for more reliable data protection. With the increasing amount of sensitive data involved in AI applications, enterprises are demanding stricter security. The encryption function of the CL6 series will effectively protect the confidentiality of data.

SSSTC has always been committed to the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of data storage products, providing customers with the most reliable and high-quality solid-state drives (SSDs). The launch of the new the CL6 series SSDs, equipped with KIOXIA's sixth-generation BiCS FLASH™ technology, fully unleashes the bandwidth of the 64 GT/s (PCIe® 4.0 (Gen4 x4)) interface, further demonstrating SSSTC's technical advantages and innovative capabilities in the storage field. The launch of the product is expected to lead to another wave of discussion in the industry and bring more energy-efficient storage solutions to the market. The CL6 series of industrial-grade solid-state drives are now available. For more information, please visit the SSSTC website at https://www.ssstc.com/.
