Teac Japan announces "CD-RW280PU" USB 2.0 recorder
Teac Japan announced today the shipping of a new portable CD-R/RW drive with the codename "CD-RW280PU". The drive is based upon USB 2.0 and starts selling from the July middle. The price is not yet determined.
TEAC uses "CD-W28E" as the based drive for "CD-RW280PU", that supports 8x writing, 8x re-write and 24x reading speed and comes with "JustLink" as the main buffer underrun protection. The buffer is 2MB and the drive is compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 interfaces. The weight of the drive is 450gr and it's dimensions are 138Χ180Χ23mm (width x depth x height).
