WAITEC announces STORM52 (54/24/52) CD-RW recorder

WAITEC announces STORM52 (54/24/52) CD-RW recorder

General Interest Oct 25,2002 0

Storm 52 (52x24x52x) from Waitec is the Ultra Fast and Ultra Safe Drive capable of recording any kind of file at the amazingly high-speed of 52x. Storm 52 is faster than all existing CD-RW drives, combining reliability and velocity. Storm 52 is delivered with an added value bundle of the easy to use Nero Burning ROM and Nero InCD, the most definitive UDF packet writing solutions which will allow the user to write on a CD-RW media like on a floppy. Storm 52 is the perfect solution for frequent, ultra-fast and error-free archiving or exchanging of large data volumes.

Waitec implements Dynamic Damping System (DDS)

With the extremely high rotation speed reached at 52x ( 10000 RPM ), an unbalanced disc might be wrongly written due to excessive vibrations. An external force is generated on traverse if a CD-RW drive is rotating with an unbalanced disc. This is why Waitec implemented Dynamic Damping System (DDS) to reduce vibrations and thus improve operation quality and disk accessibility.

Anti-Vibration Rubber connects Loader(M1) and Dynamic Damper(M2), which is also connected with Traverse(M3) by another Rubber. Vibration, which is caused by spinning motion, could be reduced to be 1/3 of the original level with DDS.

Storm 52, like all Waitec drives, features Easy Write technology which arises from the Mount Rainier initiative from Microsoft. Easy Write enables you to move, store and share your data, audio, image and text files as easily as if you were using a floppy drive. In Windows Explorer, just drag and drop your files to the drive letter associated with the Storm 52.

Easy Write is a technology that makes Storm 52 Easier to use, Faster and Safer.

Also, with Storm 52, thanks to its amazing 52x Digital Audio Extraction speed, it is now possible to rip a full audio CD in no time.

As with all Waitec drives, Storm 52 is equipped with Safe Link technology which makes buffer under run errors practically impossible despite the extremely high recording velocity.

These features make Storm 52 the fastest and most reliable drive available in the market.

Storm 52 features:

1. Fastest and most reliable drive available in the market
2. Amazing 52x Digital Audio Extraction
3. Safe recordings thanks to SafeLink technology that prevents Buffer UnderRun errors
4. Dynamic Damping System (DDS) to reduce vibration and improve operation quality
5. EasyWrite Technology for easy “drag n’ drop” function

Storm 52 will be available in December. End-user price is 99 Euro VAT included. Storm 52, like all Waitec drives, has 2 Year Warranty...
