LG Korea offers owners of LG optical drives a downloadable generic tool that will automatically update the firmware. The software examines your PC hardware configuration, HD, CPU, RAM etc and stores this information in the LG servers, in order to be able to offer you the proper updates for your hardware in the future. The update procedure takes a few minutes according to your internet connection speed, and can be either start manually or automatically.

The first version of the Online Auto firmware update software does not support all the ODD products of the company, altough the company will add support for all ODD products soon.
