Twtter Gets New Design, Functions

Twtter Gets New Design, Functions

Enterprise & IT Dec 8,2011 0

Twitter revamped its website on Thursday to make the service easier to use and to help companies better showcase their brands. The company has simplified the design of the web service to make it easier for users to follow what they care about, connect with others and discover something new. The new design is available both on Twitter.com and mobile phones.

Four new tabs bring Twitter users closer to everything they care about.

With the changes, it will be easier to find people and companies with Twitter profiles. All it will take is typing an "at" symbol in front of a user's handle. Entering a subject with a hash tag in front of it will show everything on Twitter related to that topic. And clicking on a specific tweet will display any other exchanges tied to the message to provide further context about the discussion.

Profile pages are also being expanded so individuals and companies can showcase more information about themselves in text, photos and video.

Visit fly.twitter.com to learn more about these changes.

Twitter will be rolling out the redesigned Twitter over the next few weeks. It is immediately seen on the just-updated versions of mobile.twitter.com, Twitter for iPhone, and Twitter for Android. Early access is available on computer by downloading and logging into Twitter for iPhone or Twitter for Android. Twitter is also working on updates for other apps, such as Twitter for iPad.
