Sharp LCDs are being used in the flight deck of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing's latest aircraft. The display features Sharp's 'Advanced Super View LCD' technology, which was initially developed by Sharp for its AQUOS LCD TV. The display boasts high contrast, wide viewing angle, and excellent color reproduction, providing the pilot and co-pilot a clear view of flight information. The Sharp display also exhibits durability in the face of temperature and air pressure changes, vibration and shock.

Sized at 306.6 x 229.95 mm, it has a resolution of 1,400 x 1,050 pixels and is capable of displaying 262,144 colors.
