Icahn Has Invested $3B in Apple
Investor Carl Icahn has once again chosen Twitter to inform everyone that he has invested more than $3 Billion in Apple, further pushing its shareholders for a new buyback plan.
Icahn says he has purchased $500 million worth of Apple stock in the past couple of weeks to bring his total holdings in the company to more than $3 billion.
Icahn also criticized the iPhone and Mac computer maker's board, saying it's doing a "great disservice" to shareholders by not increasing its stock buyback significantly.
The billionaire has repeatedly urged Apple to return more cash to shareholders. On Wednesday, he also promised an in-depth letter in a day or two, that will lay out his arguments to investors.
