HP today announced at the Mobile World Congress the HP Pavilion x360, an affordable touch convertible PC with a 360-degree hinge, and the ElitePad 1000 G2 and ProPad 600 G1 tablets, targeted at business users. The HP Pavilion x360 easily converts from notebook mode to stand or tent mode, or to tablet mode. It will be available in two colors Red and ilver. The convertible offers a soft touch finish that resists fingerprints and features brushed aluminum on the keyboard deck.

With a weight of 3.08 pounds, the Pavilion x360 comes equipped with dual speakers powered by built-in Beats Audio, an 11.6-inch diagonal high-definition (HD) SVA display with 10-point capacitive multitouch, an Intel Pentium processor, and an HP TrueVision HD webcam.

The HP Pavilion x360 is expected to be available in the United States on Feb. 26 for a starting price of $399.99.

HP also announced its first 64-bit Windows 8.1 tablets with Intel Bay Trail processors - the ElitePad 1000 G2 and the ProPad 600 G1.

Targeted at business users, the tablets have 10.1-inch screens with resolutions of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and run on Intel's quad-core Atom processors with clock speeds starting at 1.6GHz.

The ElitePad will be priced at US$739.99 and ship worldwide in March. The ProPad 600 price wasn't provided.

The ElitePad 1000 G2 dfeatures unique self-repair features. The tablet's back can be opened up to replace the battery, display, webcam, system board and other components.

The tablet weighs 680 grams and a battery life of 10 hours. It comes with 64GB or 128GB of storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera, and USB 3.0 and micro-SD slots.

Optional LTE connectivity is available with the tablet.

The ProPad 600 is a more affordable option for businesses, Everett said. The tablet has up to 64GB of storage, has an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera. It also has micro-USB 2.0, micro-HDMI and micro-SD ports.

The ProPad is also available with 32-bit Windows.
