An analyst claims that the highly anticipated Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 2016 devices may be available as early as next month. Rhoda Alexander, Director Tablet and Notebook PCs at IHS Markit Technology, noted that it is possible that the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 2016 release date could happen in late September or October this year.

"Production started in the second calendar quarter on refreshes of the 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch MacBook Pro [and] the 13.3-inch MacBook Air," Alexander said. She added that IHS predicted that "products will launch in late September or October of 2016."

Last month, Bloomberg had also reported the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 2016 release date would happen as soon as October. It was noted that the incoming devices would be equipped multi-functional USB C-port technology and iMacs with an option for new Advanced Micro Devices Inc. graphics chips.

A thinner Macbook Pro is also said to be in development. It will purportedly feature a digital function key display above the keyboard which will allow users to do common tasks with ease for each program. The feature is called "Dynamic Function Row" internally.

Another report from Apple Insider the Macbook Pro 2016 will reportedly see a major upgrade in terms of design and performance, powered by Intel's Skylake processors.
