Samsung S10 Series Could Include 5G Model
Samsung Electronics is planning to launch the Galaxy S10 in February next year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy series, and the series is said to include a 5G model.
According to industry sources, Samsung has orderd companies that supply cameras for the Galaxy S10 to start production between this coming November and December. This indicates that we should expect a February launch, as parts makers typically shcedule their production three months before the start of mass production in order to improve manufacturing yield.
The Galaxy S10 is expected to be equipped with the same five-lens camera as the recently released Galaxy A9. However, while the Galaxy A9 has one front and four rear lenses, the Galaxy S10 is likely to have two front and three rear lenses. The three rear lenses are each known as a wide angle, super wide angle and telephoto lens with 12 million, 16 million and 13 million pixels, respectively.
The display is divided into 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.4 inches. Guo Mingchi, a TF International Securities analyst, predicted that 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch products are likely to include ultrasonic fingerprint identification function.
There is also a possibility that a special model supporting 5G will be included in the Galaxy S10. In this case, Galaxy S10 will be the first Galaxy smartphone to support 5G communication network, which will be commercialized next year.
