Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S10 series, and the base-model Galaxy S10 has achieved a milestone as its display has scored highly on DisplayMate.

The Galaxy S10’s AMOLED OLED Infinity-O display has attained the highest-ever A+ grade with “record-setting” improvements over the predecessor models. The smartphone’s display has absolute picture quality and color accuracy, becoming the most color accurate smartphone tested on DisplayMate.

The Galaxy S10 has achieved a brightness of 1,215 nits, a 17% brightness increase in the High Brightness Mode, as compared to its predecessor the Galaxy S9.

In addition to being the first mobile display to support HDR10+ open standard for high dynamic range (HDR) video, the Galaxy S10’s display has been verified by DisplayMate to offer record-setting color accuracy. Its 0.4 Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) rating in the DCI-P3 color range is a marked improvement over the Galaxy S9’s 0.7 JNCD score.

The device also got excellent ratings in other the categories -- better outdoor visibility and power consumption, compard to the Galaxy S9.

To recall, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S10 along with the Galaxy S10 Plus and the Galaxy S10e, featuring the company’s Infinity-O AMOLED display rated at 6.1-inch, 6.4-inch, and 5.8-inch respectively.

The devices come in two processor variants: Exynos 9820 chipset and Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, depending upon the market.

While the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 Plus come with dual and triple rear cameras, the Galaxy S10e has a single rear snapper.

The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e will officially launch on March 8 in select markets.
