The number of times a foldable display can actually fold and unfold is finite, but Samsung says that owners of the new Galaxy Fold smartphone should not worry.

Obviously, the material(s) used to make a foldable display cannot withstand fatigue for ever. But Samsung says that the extensive tests of the Galaxy Fold in the company's reliability labs make sure that the Galaxy Fold is ready to come to market.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Fold can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds (or around five years of use, if used 100 times a day).
