GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and 1650 RTX Laptops Now Available
NVIDIA today introduced the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and 1650 Turing-based GPUs for gaming laptops, which deliver a major jump in overall performance and power efficiency for today’s most popular games.
Beginning today, gaming laptop manufacturers are rolling out more than 80 models powered by the latest GeForce GPUs, starting at $799.
Gamers can play at 100 frames per second at 1080p in popular games such as Fortnite, PUBG and Apex Legends.
The Turing architecture delivers 1.5x instructions per clock and 1.4x power efficiency of its predecessor, NVIDIA Pascal.
However, performance can vary based on whether your laptop’s equipped with a full-force version of these GPUs, or a more energy-efficient Max-Q variant. Nvidia says the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will use 80 watts untethered, or 60W in its Max-Q form. The GTX 1650, meanwhile, can be configured for either 50W or 35W.
Finally, Nvidia’s making its newest hardware even more enticing by offering a “GeForce Fortnite bundle” with all GTX 16-series notebooks and graphics cards until May 22. It comes with 2,000 V-Bucks and the Counterattack cosmetic set.
