TDK expands its VeloCD Burner lineup with Midnight And Photo VeloCD models

TDK expands its VeloCD Burner lineup with Midnight And Photo VeloCD models

General Interest Sep 4,2003 0

TDK has expanded its veloCD lineup with the introduction of two new internal CD burners -- the Midnight veloCD (model 4810B) and the Photo veloCD (model 5201B). Midnight veloCD and Photo veloCD have unique designs and software suites, allowing customers to select the drive that best suits their digital lifestyles. Midnight veloCD is the first "combo" among the TDK CD burners that also feature DVD playback capability. Along with its included CyberLink Power DVD XP 4.0.2 software that enables playback of video files (MPEG2 & AVI) and all DVD disc formats.

In addition to providing DVD playback, Midnight veloCD features a versatile software suite that makes it easier and more fun than ever before to share video, digital images, music and MP3 mixes while delivering super fast 48x read, write and audio ripping speeds along with 24x rewriting.

The new Photo veloCD makes it easy for customers to share their digital image collections with family and friends, whether they are around the block or across the world. With Photo veloCD, it's simple to crop, rotate and adjust images, then create and share digital photo slideshows that can be viewed by anyone with a computer or DVD player. The included Simple Star PhotoShow 2.1 software is a fun and easy-to-use program.

Photo veloCD offers 52x write speed, 24x rewrite and 48x data read speeds. The drive is also capable of ripping CD audio tracks at 48x, allowing users to extract an audio track in just five seconds with bit-perfect musical accuracy.

Like all veloCD burners, Midnight veloCD and Photo veloCD offer buffer underrun protection, eliminating buffer underrun errors during the writing process to yield perfect recordings every time -- even during multitasking operations. Both new veloCD models come equipped with TDK's Digital MixMaster music management and recording software, NeroExpress™ CD recording software, InCD™ drag-and-drop packet writing software and other useful utilities.

TDK's customizable Digital MixMaster gives users unprecedented convenience in their music jukebox interface. It handles day-to-day music management and recording functions including CD playback, ripping, MP3 playback, Internet-accessed track labeling and CD recording (including on-the-fly conversion of computer music files and playlists into play-anywhere CDs).

Featuring one of the simplest user interfaces of any CD burning software, NeroExpress makes it easy to copy virtually every type of CD-ROM and CD audio disc, including multi-session discs and several new hybrid formats. NeroExpress can also be used to create Video CDs (VCD) of home movies and photo slideshows that can be played back in most DVD players.
