The company demonstrated a wide range of motherboards, notebooks, PDAs, mobile phones(!) and of course optical drives. The latest 52x/24x/52x CD-RW recorder of Asus is already in the market and it is now upgraded to the upcoming CRW-5232A, which supports 52x CD-R, 32x CD-RW and 52x CD-ROM speeds. The drive will be available with white and black bezels as shown in the photos below. The Asus DRW-040P is the company's solution for your DVD writing tasks. The new DVD-R/RW recorder supports 4x DVD-R and 2x DVD-RW writing.The new SCB-2408-D is a dual-interface external slim combo drive. It supports both USB2.0 and IEEE 1394 interfaces and offers 24x CD-R writing, 12x CD-RW rewriting, 24x reading, while it is also a 8x DVD-ROM. You can see the drive in the picture below.
The external version of the CRW-5224A is also available and supports the USB2.0 interface. The drive can operate in both vertical and horizontial positions, placed on stylish stands provided in the retail package. |
In the same booth Asus also demonstrated its well known 16x DVD-ROM drive, already available in retail places, and some new DVD-R media.
