CyberDrive announced a new external USB2.0 recorder with the "EW088U-B" ultra high-speed recorder. As CyberDrive says "...The EW088U-B drive is an extermal type, USB2.0 interface, and has read speeds up to 48X, and write up to 48X and re-write speeds up to 16X. Furthermore, the EW088U-B utilizes the High Precise Sledge Control (HPSC) type traverse mechanism in order to improve access time to around 100ms and also reduce acoustic seeking noise..." The drive expected to hit the market around September and would be probably the first external recorder that offers CLV, Z-CLV and CAV recording technologies... The features of 48/16/48 CD-RW drive :
