Consumer Electronics Aug 21,2006 0

At this year’s IFA in Berlin, Germany 1 – 6 September 2006, Hitachi will demonstrate how its “technology and know-how improves your life” by showcasing its latest innovations in the consumer electronics industry. Hitachi will be exhibiting its latest products and solutions on its stand in Hall 23, Stand 106.

Digital Media Group, Hitachi Europe Ltd. will unveil a range of flatscreens to take advantage of the new HD platforms and digital content rolling out across Europe. The Picture Master 9000 Series of 32 and 37-inch LCD and 42 and 55-inch plasma iDTVs demonstrate Hitachi’s flagship technology. Hitachi will be displaying its 42-inch Alis 1080 plasma panel – the company's first to offer 1024 x 1080 high definition resolution. Hitachi is also offering visitors to the show a ‘taste of the future’ with a special preview of its 60-inch Plasma flatscreen TV with a 1920 x 1080 pixel display offering full HD resolution. Hitachi will also launch its 8000 Series, a range of fully featured ‘HD Ready’ integrated digital LCD and Plasma TVs.

The original inventor of DVD camcorders, Hitachi also unveils the first Hybrid DVD/Hard Disk Drive Camcorder. The product is designed to give users the convenience of the DVD format with the capacity of a hard disk drive. Small, lightweight and versatile, the Hybrid camcorder is available in two 8GB HDD memory options - the DZ-GX3300E which boasts a 3 Mega pixel CCD and the DZ-GX3100E which offers 1.3 Mega pixels. Both accept most standard DVD formats and can be used to record and edit before burning to a DVD, without having to load software or connect to a PC or other hardware device.

Visitors will be able to see a preview of two as yet unreleased DVD/Hard Disk Drive recorders: a Blu-Ray version which uses the latest digital format for recording; and a huge capacity ‘1-Terabyte’ Hard Disk Drive model, a record-all solution for serious TV and multimedia users.

Also on show will be the latest Memory Master releases: the DV-DS163E (160GB hard disk drive) and DV-DS253E (250GB hard disk drive). These accept all main DVD formats and use HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) with video up scaling to 1080i to deliver sharp and precise image and audio quality. Featuring an intuitive menu interface to help navigate programme, photo and music files they effectively transform televisions into high quality multimedia ‘jukeboxes’.

Hitachi has announced its next generation of the PJ-TX200 home cinema projector, the PJ-TX300. High definition ready and delivering an extraordinary 10000:1 contrast ratio, this striking all-black 16:9 projector delivers the best possible picture quality for big screen home viewing combined with whisper quiet operation.

Also launching at IFA will be the new Hitachi CPX1 LCD projector that addresses most mobile and professional needs. This models PC-less presentation function and quick start up time are complimented by its stylish and compact design. As a result the CPX1 delivers an unmatched combination of ease of use, performance and portability, making it an indispensable business tool for professionals on the move.

Hitachi’s CP-X600 Series LCD projectors, designed for installation in medium and large presentation facilities at corporate venues and educational institutions, will also be exhibited. The projectors combine 4000 ANSI lumen brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio in a new easy maintenance, high reliability chassis.
