In the lead up to HP Reinvent, HP’s global partner event, HP Inc. unveiled a new line of smart printers designed for small businesses.
The new HP OfficeJet Pro series promise to bring intelligence, performance and reliability. The series includes the HP OfficeJet Pro Series (9015, 9025 and Premier) and the OfficeJet Pro Series (8025, 8035).
The series eliminates steps in repetitive tasks with Smart Tasks, a mobile solution that automates scanning tasks. HP claims that you will be able to organize documents 50% faster compared to the majority of competing consumer color desktop inkjet all-in-ones that cost less than $299. You also get automatic two-sided printing and advanced scanning; scan to the cloud, email, and more, in just a tap and even create editable, searchable documents scanning from your phone or printer.
Through the HP Smart app, you can print, scan and copy from your phone.
In addition, the new OfficeJet printers suppport HP’s ink delivery service, Instant Ink, which automatically orders ink when you’re running low (700 page/month.) Upon purchase, each printer comes with a $240 prepaid value card that will be added to your account. This will cover 24 months of service on a monthly $9.99 Instant Ink plan.
The printers also offer security to help maintain privacy and control, and support self-healing Wi-Fi that always keeps you connected.
In addition, the 8000 series is made from recycled printers and other electronics—more than 15% by weight of plastic. The 9000 series with more than 10%.
The 9000 series also allows you to easily grab documents from the scan bed with slide-off glass. And specifically for the 9025 series, the
new smart output tray management prevents paper spillage when the 250-sheet output tray is full.
The HP OfficeJet Pro Series (9015, 9025 and Premier) will be available for small business printing in the U.S. starting from this month. HP OfficeJet Pro Series (8025, 8035) will be available in June.
