LaCie Introduces Portable LightScribe DVD Burner

LaCie today introduces a portable LightScribe-enabled DVD solution, merging its slimmest 8.5GB double layer DVD burner with the LightScribe disc labeling technology. LaCie Slim DVD±RW Drive by F.A. Porsche is available immediately with fast 8x DVD±RW burning speed and USB 2.0 interface for use on any PC.

LightScribe allows users to burn labels directly onto CDs and DVDs without the need for a printer or ink accessories. Using the specially coated LightScribe discs, consumers can create personalized labels composed of art, text, or photos. LightScribe-enabled CDs and DVDs are available direct from LaCie or in most retail and online stores.

LaCie Slim DVD±RW Drive with LightScribe burns 8.5GB double layer DVDs in under 10 minutes. The drive supports 8x4x8x for DVD±RW and 2.4x for DVD+R DL media.

Availability
LaCie Slim DVD±RW Drive with LightScribe Design by F.A. Porsche is immediately available at the suggested retail price of $199 USD (SKU 300778). Drives come complete with CD/DVD authoring/mastering software suites for Mac and PC, LightScribe DVD/CD labeling software, and all necessary cables for immediate use.
