LG Display Files Injunction Against Samsung
LG Display said Thursday that it has filed an injunction against Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display to the court, demanding that Samsung stop production of the Galaxy Note 10.1 due to patent infringements.
According to a reported published by The Korean Times, LG filed the case on Wednesday at Seoul Central District Court requesting that it stop Samsung from making "the Galaxy Note 10.1 using LG Display technology."
LG claimed that the device infringed three of its patents related to LG's IPS liquid crystal display technology.
Samsung filed a separate case to the same court Dec. 7 claiming that LG violated seven of its LCD-related patents. It claimed that panels used in LG's Optimus G violated its plane to line switching (PLS) technology.
