Mitsubishi Kagaku Media to Introduce Verbatim Brand in Japan
Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Co., Ltd. will officially introduce its global "Verbatim" brand into the Japanese market from September of this year.
Mitsubishi Kagaku Media has been selling USB memory, SD cards, portable hard disc drives, etc. under the Verbatim brand name since 2008, but from September of this year our entire line of data use optical discs will be rebranded from MITSUBISHI to Verbatim and the company aims for the establishment of a global brand that includes Japan.
The brand name Verbatim means 'literally' in Latin and has been used since the company's founding in 1969 to illustrate the principle of accurate, error free recording of data.
