Looking at all the tested 8600GTS clocks, we could expect similar performance, especially under the various anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering modes. How well this card can perform with up to 16xQ AA? First lets see how F.E.A.R. performance is affected from the various AA/AF modes.

The performance of all tested 8600GTS cards seem to be the same. Despite the fact that the Asus 8600GTS Top is clocked higher than other tested cards, after 2x AA, we had the same performance from all graphic cards. The same results are noticed in Prey. We see an almost linear drop at performance level as anti-aliasing is increasing. At 4xAA we have 48FPS which is very good.

More demanding games with more details will have a decreased performance if you decide to enable anti-aliasing. Company Of Heroes after 2x AA stretches the system and while the game is an RTS, users might want to avoid enabling AA. The performance of all tested graphics cards is almost the same.
