New AQUOS 3D Blu-Ray Player by Sharp
Sharp today announced the release of the BD-HDS63 3D Blu-ray disc player in Japan.
Available next month for about 75,000 Yen ($905), the BD-HDS63 is
Sharps latest entry level digital video recorder that comes equipped
with a a 320GB HDD, a Digital TV Tuner with BS/CS and SKYPerfecTV
support. It features 3D Blu-Ray compatibility and it is able to
record movies and other TV Shows on BDXL discs (100GB).
Video can be stored at the device's HDD as well as in BD-R/RE, BD-R XL, DVD-R/RW (MPEG2 only), media in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format (real-time transcoding). AVCHD camcorders can be connected to the DVR through a USB cable.
