New iPad Mini And Redesigned iPad Coming in 2019
Apple seems to be ready for a spring reveal of two new iPads
According to Digitimes, Taiwan-based touch panel makers General Interface Solution (GIS) and TPK Holding are predicting stable shipments in the first half of 2019 thanks to orders for new iPad series products.
First, there will be a new entry-level iPad, successor to the current 9.7in model released last Spring. And, secondly, a new iPad mini, the first small-screen iPad since the iPad mini 4 which was released in September 2015.
Last year’s iPad brought support for the Apple Pencil to the base-level tablets, so we might expect an update to the iPad Mini to also introduce this feature.
Apple did not provide any comment.
