Padus releases DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition with advances in disc writing and networking
Padus, a leading developer of powerful optical disc software for Windows® operating systems, has released the highly-anticipated next version of DiscJuggler™. Professional Edition adds Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) and network writing to the well-known set of Compact Disc (CD) capabilities found in previous versions of DiscJuggler.
Feeding the growing interest for DVD products in the technology-savvy market, Padus has developed a complete set of DVD duplication and pre-mastering features. In combination with any available drive capable of writing to DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW media, DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition gives both professional and novice users the ability to create DVDs. "We're no longer measuring the storage capacity in megabytes, but in gigabytes; providing everyone with the means to backup days of music, hours of music, and whole libraries of text to one disc," stated Fred Perez, vice president of sales at Padus.
Eager to give customers a solution not available on the market, Padus has added simple networking to the capabilities of Professional Edition, right from the network architecture of DiscJuggler.NET™. Any system running DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition can share a CD or DVD writer over the local network to other systems, which are not required to have any CD or DVD writing drives. The host system can accept one job at a time from any of the other systems, which send the job through DiscJuggler, with the shared writer selected as the destination. "DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional represents a new era of CD/DVD recording by being able to easily share your writer with another person in your home or office by simply clicking on one option box in DiscJuggler.", added Fred Perez.
Availability of DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition is wide-spread, through normal retail or bundled with a variety of autoloaders, jukeboxes, and towers. The following retail price list reflects the maximum number of drives that can be written to at the same time: DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition (2 drive license) for $59.00, DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition (4 drive license) for $349.00, and DiscJuggler 4.0 Professional Edition (Unlimited drive license) for $749.00. Existing customers have upgrade options to Professional Edition or a free update to Standard Edition (pending release). All registered licenses come with free technical support and software updates. Current availability, licensing, and pricing information is available on the web at http://www.padus.com/
