Pebble Watches Get Android Wear Compatibility
Peddle has made its smartwatches work with apps developed for smartwatches that run Google's wearable technology operating system. The company has been testing the new feature in beta since December and now it is officially ready. Users can update their Pebble to the latest firmware released last week (v2.9) and grab the latest Pebble Android app (v.2.3.0) from the Google Play Store.
The version 2.3 lets Pebblers do everything they can do it with Android Wear plus actions Android Wear devices themselves don’t perform - like user-defined responses.
Of course, the Pebble watch will also still be able to work with all of the apps in Pebble's own app store.
As well as this new update, Pebble's CEO, Eric Migicovsky has promised that much more is to come in 2015 in terms of both new software and new devices.
