Pioneer DJM-900nexus Mixer Issue Delays Its Delivery
Pioneer has identified an issue with a batch of pre-production DJM-900nexus mixers and will delay their availability.
The issue is related to an incompatibility of the mixer with specific headphones. Connecting certain headphones from other manufacturers with the volume set high can trigger a protective circuit to unnecessarily power down the unit, Pioneer said.
Although the issue has now been corrected with Pioneer's most recent production models as of March 23rd 2011, the company has decided to withdraw any early mass production units shipped to U.S.A. and Europe. As a result, this delays March availability of the new mixer to early April.
"Pioneer would like to apologise to any of our customers who have been affected," the company said.
Pioneer also asks those customers who have taken delivery of a DJM-900nexus prior to March 23rd 2011 to return it to the retailer where a new model will be given in exchange.
